The IPL 2026 auction will be held on December 16th in Abu Dhabi. This will be a mini-auction. A total of 359 players have been selected for the IPL 2026 auction, including 247 Indian players and 112 overseas players. Among the foreign players, England has the highest number of representatives, with 21 players included in the auction. Australia follows closely behind with 20 players shortlisted for the auction.

Controversy erupts over Nikhil Chaudhary

For your information, when the initial list of 350 players was released, Nikhil Chaudhary, an Indian-origin player who plays in Australia’s Big Bash League, was mistakenly included in the list of Indian cricketers. At that time, the list included 110 foreign players and 19 Australian players, but the BCCI later corrected its error. Nikhil Chaudhary was subsequently included as a foreign cricketer.
