Gun Hill

Enjoy a Ropeway ride to the second-highest peak of Mussoorie, Located at an altitude of 2024m. There are two ways to reach it: a trek or a cable car. It offers an aerial view of the surroundings. It can also be negotiated by a bridle path that forks off from Mall Road near Kutchery and to reach takes about 20 minutes. Jwalaji Temple

It is a famous temple at a distance of 9 km from Mussoorie. Located at the hilltop of Benog hill, the temple is dedicated to the goddess Durga. Surrounded by thick forests and towering peaks, climbing to the temple is a wonderful and exciting experience for travellers.

Clouds End

It is an ancient beautiful bungalow of Mussoorie which was built by a British Major in the year 1838. Nowadays, it has been converted into a hotel resort known as Clouds End. Lakha Mandal

It is an archeological building near Mussoorie which is preserved by the Archeological Survey of India. The place also has historical importance as it is said that in Mahabharata times, the Kauravas built this house in order to burn the Pandavas there according to a conspiracy against them.

Mossy Falls

The Mossy fall is 7 km from Mussoorie and surrounded by a dense forest. You can go there via Barlowganj or Bala Hisar. Mossy Falls is also a horsetail waterfall and is surrounded by mosses that fetched the name Mossy Falls to this place. The place has a total of four small waterfalls out of which two are natural and the rest are artificial. The place is located quite away from the busy areas of Mussoorie. If planning to go there on a vehicle, it is better to go through the barlowganj area. which is 6-7 km from there, The hike to this area is a steep and tiring one though is rewarding for the views of the waterfalls. A great offbeat location in Mussoorie that is only an hour’s down hike from Mussoorie.

Jharipani  Falls

While trekking from Dehradun to Mussoorie, there is another way that takes you to Jharipani. Jharipani Falls is located at a distance of 8 km from Mussoorie. You Can go on a trek from Rajpur through the old Mussoorie trail.

It is a short trek of about 2  from the main road near Jharipani Castle where you can park your vehicle. A 2-wheeler vehicle can only go to a certain distance after that it’s impossible to take your vehicle so you will have to park it. So, It’s a complete downhill trek for 2 km.

The route is very steep and adventurous.

At the end of the trek, you’ll find small falls. The real falls are beyond that small one, which is not visible unless you cross that small fall.

It’s a hidden gem.

At this place, you take a bath underneath the waterfalls but there is no changing room, no toilets, no shops, and no drinking water, so it is advisable to please carry 1 water bottle along with you.

Bhatta Falls

Bhatta Falls is  Located near Bhatta village at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the Mussoorie Library Bus Stand.  Bhatta falls is hailed as one of the best waterfalls in Mussoorie. Reaching the exact spot of the waterfall requires a little hike of approx 600 meters which makes Bhatta Falls a good place for adventure enthusiasts too.

One of the most incredible facts about Bhatta Waterfall is that it is not yet commercialized, which retains its natural setting and offers peace to visitors. The sound of the waterfall and the chirping of birds make it more beautiful and picturesque.

Mussoorie Lake

Mussoorie Lake is an artificial lake which is developed by the City Board of Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority. This Lake is located just 5 km before Mussoorie on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road.

It is a popular destination for boating or a day out for a picnic. The Mussoorie Lake allows you to steal some quiet and romantic moments with your loved one.
