1. Sunil Dutt and Nargis
Sunil Dutt first met at a radio station where he used to host Radio Ceylon. He interviewed his favourite actress Nargis there but as soon as the actress came in front of him, he was unable to say anything and the session had to be cancelled. Later, in 1957, both of them worked together in the film Mother India and they fell in love.
2. Mughal-e-Azam
The film Mughal-e-Azam, released in 1960, was a tri-lingual film. All the scenes of the film were shot in Hindi, Tamil and English languages.
3. Gabbar
In the 1975 film Sholay, the role of Gabbar was first given to Danny Denzongpa because it is said that writer Javed Akhtar found Amjad Khan’s voice too weak for Gabbar Singh. Danny refused to do the initial scenes of the film, after which Amjad Khan was forced to be cast.
4. Sridevi
At the age of 13, actress Sridevi played the role of superstar Rajinikanth’s stepmother in the Tamil drama ‘Moondru Mudichu’.
5. Waheeda Rehman
Bollywood actress Waheeda Rehman has played both Amitabh Bachchan’s mother and lover. She played the role of Amitabh’s lover in the 1976 film Adalat and his mother in the 1978 film Trishul.
6. Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor
The late actor Shashi Kapoor played Amitabh Bachchan’s elder brother in the 1981 film Silsila. However, Amitabh Bachchan also played the role of Shashi Kapoor’s elder brother in many other films, including Deewar, Namak Halal, Do Aur Do Paanch and Suhaag.
7. Shabana Azmi
You will be surprised to know that Shabana was earlier engaged to Shekhar Kapur but their relationship could not last.
8. Longest film
If you also think that Kargil is the longest film in India then you are wrong. The film Tamas released in 1987 is 19 minutes longer than Kargil. It was shown as a mini-series on Doordarshan.

You will be surprised to know that Saif Ali Khan was first approached for the lead role in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ and then Hollywood actor Tom Cruise was contacted for the role of Raj Malhotra.
10. Dil Chahta Hai
According to the news, the film’s director Farhan Akhtar wanted Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Akshaye Khanna to play the roles of three friends in the film, but later Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan acted in the film.
11. Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo
The song Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo from the film of the same name is the longest song in Bollywood history. Its tune is 20 minutes long and appears in three different parts of the film.
12. Om Shanti Om
Many celebs were seen together in the song Deewangi from Deepika Padukone’s debut film but Aamir Khan refused to be a part of this song.
13. Rockstar
You will be surprised to know that Ranbir Kapoor’s film Rockstar was shot upside down because the crew did not want to break the continuity of Ranbir’s hairstyle.
14. 130 outfits
In the film Heroine, Kareena Kapoor wore about 130 different outfits made by popular fashion designers from around the world. According to the report, Kareena’s clothes in Heroine were among the most expensive outfits in any Bollywood film to date.
