Actor Puneeth Rajkumar died at a hospital in Bengaluru today after suffering a heart attack, leaving fans and colleagues in shock and grief. He was 46 years old. News agency ANI tweeted earlier today: “Actor Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted at 11.30 am due to chest pain. Efforts are on to treat him. His condition is critical. Nothing can be said at the moment. He was brought to the hospital in very critical condition. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital, ICU: Dr. Ranganath Naik, Vikram Hospital, Bangalore. The hospital also said that the actor was brought in irresponsibly but doctors were trying their best to treat him.
Puneeth Rajkumar, who was a superstar in the Kannada film industry, was the son of veteran actor Rajkumar.
