The upcoming thriller film Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati, directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Nihit Bhave, officially opened the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in the grandest and grandest way possible. After a two-year break from its physical festival, with the last two years being online only, IFFM is being held both physically and virtually in person from 12-20 August 2022 and virtually on 13-31 August. Over the past 13 years, the festival has become one of the largest Indian film festivals to be held outside India and is also the only Indian film festival supported by the government.
